PLN in the Navy

These are amazing... another find for Retronaut... PLN in the Navy (guess this finally answers the Live at 5 question..."How tall is Paul... really?") See the original post: http://www.retronaut.com/2012/08/paul-newman-in-the-navy-c-1943/

PLN Back in the Kenyon College Days. (1949)

This week Retronaut posted these classic pics of PLN at Kenyon performing in "drag" for a play. Read and see more at: http://www.retronaut.com/2014/01/paul-newman-in-a-dress/

Awesome. Adam Carolla plans PLN racing doc for 2014

I'm psyched about this announcement that someone is going to make a documentary about PLN's love of racing. Hoping Adam Carolla does a great job with it and will be able to interview Joanne and the kids.

The gift that keeps on giving.

Even 2 years after his death, Paul continues to help others:
From the Philanthropy Journal
Newman's Own Foundation, the organization started by the late actor and philanthropist Paul Newman, announced that it is making nearly $4 million in grants over a two-year period to 40 U.S. nonprofit organizations that run nutrition programs. This is in addition to $1 million already granted to nutrition programs earlier this year. The grants will go to organizations that focus on areas including: nutrition education for children and families; child nutrition with a focus on feeding hungry children and/or reducing childhood obesity; and fresh food access for underserved communities.

The Aetna Foundation also just donated $100,000 to the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp as well.

Such an amazing man who continues to inspire people to do good works!
