PLN in the Navy
These are amazing... another find for Retronaut... PLN in the Navy (guess this finally answers the Live at 5 question..."How tall is Paul... really?") See the original post: http://www.retronaut.com/2012/08/paul-newman-in-the-navy-c-1943/

Awesome. Adam Carolla plans PLN racing doc for 2014
I'm psyched about this announcement that someone is going to make a documentary about PLN's love of racing. Hoping Adam Carolla does a great job with it and will be able to interview Joanne and the kids.

The gift that keeps on giving.
Even 2 years after his death, Paul continues to help others:
From the Philanthropy Journal:
Newman's Own Foundation, the organization started by the late actor and philanthropist Paul Newman, announced that it is making nearly $4 million in grants over a two-year period to 40 U.S. nonprofit organizations that run nutrition programs. This is in addition to $1 million already granted to nutrition programs earlier this year. The grants will go to organizations that focus on areas including: nutrition education for children and families; child nutrition with a focus on feeding hungry children and/or reducing childhood obesity; and fresh food access for underserved communities.
The Aetna Foundation also just donated $100,000 to the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp as well.
Such an amazing man who continues to inspire people to do good works!

How to get into Paul Newman's pants...
From the NY Daily News:
"NEW HAVEN, Conn. — A man renting an apartment in a Victorian house in
Connecticut was poking around the basement when he was surprised to find
some fine clothes stuffed in a trash bag. A tailor’s tag listing the
client’s name on one of the suits startled him even more.

“Paul Newman. January 1986.”
Peter Gamlen, a 23-year-old British illustrator, said he believes the suit belonged to the late actor, director, entrepreneur and racing driver. The suit was by the tailor Henry Stewart. So, Gamlen researched Stewart and found an obituary in the New York Times from 1993 that listed Newman among the tailor’s clients."
